Who are we?
Bhavana is a restorative studio evoking deep release + renewal. Bhavana’s beloved practices are woven together through yin yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Each of which encourages us to slow down and tune in.
It is in this space where our total body care begins. We give time for our body to open + release, our mind to make sense and clear and our emotions to rise and fall. I have an immense amount of gratitude for this practice as it has enriched my life in an abundance of ways.
Through a dedicated practice, you can begin to expect mental clarity, a regulated nervous system, emotional balance, a rise in confidence and self-compassion, and a strong, spacious, resilient body.

Hello there, I'm Britt.
I welcome you with the widest, most open arms into my beloved, Bhavana. Without realizing it until recently, Bhavana was created many many moons ago when I found myself in a sleeping swan pose: heartbroken, lost, sobbing. It was the first full-body release I allowed myself to experience during this earth-shaking time. I realllllly let go. I felt the purge begin in my belly, rise up, and crack right through my heart. Release.
Sleeping Swan didn't cause the release, but the combination of the asana, the silence, and the witnessing of my thoughts - a practice I strictly avoided during this time. This was the first time I gave myself the opportunity to tune in and to be heard. I gave permission for the fear, the sadness, the anxiety to rise and speak. I found courage and surrendered to the discomfort. To my surprise, liberation + clarity were on the other side.
Taking all that I've learned, felt and experienced, Bhavana was birthed - an online studio offering yin yoga, breathwork, meditation and full moon gatherings. A studio designed to provoke deep release within our physical + emotional body. Offering liberation, resilience, and empowerment.

There isn’t a comparison. Bhavana is its own. We’re encouraging rest + healing of the whole self through a passive and supportive physical practise. There isn’t enough encouragement to slow down and tune in. Bhavana is here to show you the importance and transformative power that a in ward focused practise can and will offer you.

As much as you so please. Bhavana is your permission to slow down and restore. Now more then ever do we need that encouragement! Not only will Bhavana take care of your mental + emotional wellbeing it will also compliment your other physical practises through our yin yoga classes.

Very little is required to practise with Bhavana. I recommend a yoga mat or blanket and a pillow. Blocks + straps maybe used during practise all which can be supplemented with house hold items. Most importantly, patience, trust and self compassion.
